monotonous and without much interesting going on. Eh. 69/100.

Aitana, Nicki Nicole – Formentera
Spotify recommended me a same-named pretty obscure song, but I decided to tackle this one first because it's easier to review. It is catchy, but relatively normal -- nothing truly special seems to be going on here. It uses the same old Chainsmoker techniques, with the electronic production having that standard House beat. Still, it … Continue reading Aitana, Nicki Nicole – Formentera
I got fired – Godknott
Remarkably similar to my current situation (contract ended), the song nevertheless presents being fired as a good situation. How optimistic...
Everything All At once – Post Animal
Unlike the movie, the song is pretty well grounded and usual. (If you wanted something crazy, try "The Deck" instead). However, the lack of risks also makes the song somewhat mundane and unnotable overall. Maybe he should've gone all crazy...
Thirty Seconds To Mars – Stuck
The opposite of the very first song review. This one has a very nice hook and seems to have quite some potential. I enjoy what I'm hearing here...
Die Milch – Rosaria
Even on the surface, the song is already unusual — the gothic theme, the guitar rock mix, and the chorus is the standard progression yet never fully resolved until the end. Also, there was the random violin chorus in the middle. Perhaps the first hint of something suspicious is the seemingly usual love song phrase, … Continue reading Die Milch – Rosaria
Kaoma – Lambada (1989)
The original, the one and only, starting point of *On the floor*. While it does have more personality than Jennifer Lopez, it also seems weaker due to its casual tone. Nevertheless, it's quite good for a Spanish song and not too shabb at all.
Takanori Nishikawa – Bright Burning Shout
despite the four chord progression piano hook, it is delicately done, not to mention genuine talent shown in the guitar solo's. This is definitely a high tier anime opening, and doesn't hesitate to show his creativity and skill. Well done! 91/100
[Yura Hatsuki] 夢魔Cauchemar
Yura Hatsuki's best song in my opinion remains "Shadows" -- most her other songs do have a similar fantasy or gothic feel, but aren't as ear catching. Shadow's verses are a bit down low which presents a similar problem in some of her other songs. Due to her style, she mostly trudges along and waits … Continue reading [Yura Hatsuki] 夢魔Cauchemar
The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats – Irish Way
At first the beginning is strong with the fiddle, and you think you're in for another great hit. However, Irish Way while showing the quirky culture. However, there doesn't seem to be anything that pulls you in for looking at more of the story. The hints of love is somewhat interesting, but the three repeated … Continue reading The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats – Irish Way
