Hotaru (Fujita Maiko)
all too soon, the song's removed from my favorites before I have a chance to review it. The song was touching and had good context within the movie, but it doesn't quite breach the language barrier the same way a similar "spiritual" type song does -- Fukurou. Still, not a bad song overall. (76/100)
Shinunoga E-Wa – fujii Kaze
Very catchy and kind of dark feeling, the song grows more powerful and has a very nice theme. Who are you to tell me to stop listening? Shinunoga e-waaaaa, shinunoga e-waaaaa (Iād rather die). [Rating: A]
24kGoldin – Mood
I like the main melody hook, but his voice didn't really set it in for me, I'm not sure why. Tentatively trying out some covers, though even with different singers, it's obvious that the lyrics are a little shallow, even with him "trying to play it cool". A difficult decision. (Grade: C-)
Dazbee – Bambi
I never knew Bambi meant something close to wet rain in Korean. In any case, the song is curious and shows Dazbee leans towards a city pop approach. Quite intriguing! (Tentative Grade: B for Bambi)
Summrs – Why Do U Lie ć prod. Goyxrd ć
Someone recommended me to review for my 2000th song review, but I must refuse. It simply has too much auto tune and doesn't feel artful enough, unlike a song like Choco Mint Flavor. (One of The only song in my list that has heavy auto tune). (Grade: D+)
Thousand Years of Frost – TaiGekTou
A very catchy combination of Flute and the Chinese Ancient "harp" like ancient. An interesting counterpart to "Mutual Vigilance", which I gave an extremely high rating to. This one is also decent, though doesn't feel it has quite as much emotion. (Rating: 91/100)
Hyperspeed – Johnathan Young
itsanokaysongcyalaterbye! Just kidding. Anyways, Hyperspeed is interesting. It's a little too loud and filled constantly with noise, with a somewhat jarring transition one, two, three into the ballad like "let me take you to hyperspeed tonight". The four chord progression moments are hidden very well, and I really like the middle slow folk like part. … Continue reading Hyperspeed – Johnathan Young
Fish – Clara C
I'm not sure why I added this, it seems pretty regular, perhaps even more mundane than the oh-so-usual Crosses by Jose Gonzales. Final Grade: C-
Kevin Quinn – Wildfire
I originally added this for its positive message, but over time I've found it a bit too repetitive and doesn't stand out that much in the end, especially with powerful ballads introduced to me... (Grade: C)
