A song in consideration rather than actually being in my actual list, Rockefeller is nevertheless a banger that has high potential and seems like it might eventually make it onto my favorites. I'm especially a big fan of the chorus. 87/100

dodie – Secret For The Mad
A nice and calming song, the message of struggling with oneself is done quite well. 88/100
VersaEmerge: Past Praying For
With a relatively cool bridge, it's tough to justify that this song is Past Praying For. 83/100
Just Can’t Let Her Go – One Direction
Though I added this song to my favorites, I'm not 100% convinced. The song's okay I guess, even when compared to what people say are their best (Perfect, You Don't Know you're Beautiful), but the melody is a bit average overall. Removed. 70/100
Mat Kearney – Ships In The Night
like ships in the night this passes me by but I'm not wastin' time this song just sounds right and even if it comes crashing into the sea at least it'll be it and me trying to find a light like ships in the night 85/100 (Pretty good "middle man" comparison to the auto-tune poppy … Continue reading Mat Kearney – Ships In The Night
The Script – Hall of Fame
I actually considered this for my top 100 at one point. The song isn't that bad for a four-chord progression, and the message is admirable, even if the song gets a bit repetitive in the end. 84/100.
Coolio – Gangster’s Paradise
An actually decent rap song, the cool bassline works well with the lyrics, and impress me enough to put this on my top 100. I especially like the fitting theme of the title, with the lines, "I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it", "I can't live a normal life, I was raised … Continue reading Coolio – Gangster’s Paradise
The White Stripes – ‘Seven Nation Army’
Though with a very famous bassline, the song is quite impressive with the "instrumental chorus" and being relatively strong overall. 86/100 This song has won an edition of Shuffle Game (not submitted by me). The other songs were: 2. Learning To Fly - Pink Floyd (-6) 3. Love's A Loaded Gun - Alice Cooper (-16) … Continue reading The White Stripes – ‘Seven Nation Army’
Ashe – Girl Who Cried Wolf
Not (yet) in my favorites, but I've heard this song before and Discovery Week gave it to me again. So, the bassline is indeed very interesting, though it does have a slight country feel to it. The rest of the song feels kind of quirky, though the nice electronic sounds balance it out. I like … Continue reading Ashe – Girl Who Cried Wolf
Il Volo – Grande amore
With a minor introduction slowly leading to a powerful chorus, this song is fantastic even with the theme of love. I'm not surprised it won the televote. 95/100
