youtube keeps deleting my videos in the playlist, but perhaps it's a challenge to see if I have the guts to add this back on. This is an interesting song as it has some clearly Indian influences, despite the heavy electronic. I think I'll be keeping this in my favorites. Katy Perry – Part of Me
I am very surprised I have not reviewed this song. Though it surprisingly encompasses the Aeolian mode of music -- rather unusual for a pop song -- on a re-listen, I can hear it. Nevertheless, the chorus docks point for being predictable. (B)
I Care by Beyoncé
The progression may be phrygian chords, but it's difficult to say [insert title]. Nicely composed. (B)
Faouzia – Bad Dreams
Passionately sung, I'm sure many can sympathize with their nightmares haunting them. A well done song overall. (B+)
Evil Ways – Santana
Interesting how despite my interest in music, I have never mentioned any of the scales besides major or minor. Pfft, what a plebian, past self. Down in the Dandelions · Siobhan Miller
Fantastic despite being obscure, Siobhan challenges even the best of the <25k view on youtube. I will have another listen later. (A-)
For Veronica’s Sake – Alice Cooper
Who's Veronica? Regardless, unique message another solid rock tune. Excellent stuff. Hard to compare to a guilty pleasure like Kids in the Dark. (A)
Night Riots – Contagious
I originally found the beginning quite strange, but the rest of the song is pretty standard. It makes sense for a Redditvision song winner. Not bad, but gets old over time. (B)
Lizzo – Juice
Fantastically jazzy and funky, it ain't her fault, you gotta blame it on the Juice! (Grade A -- Approximately 97/100)
King Sis – Hiatus
Not only does it represent my current status well, Hiatus is actually pretty solid R&B obscure song. Pretty good. (B+)
