I never thought someone would bother mixing together the energetic and autotune filled Vocaloid together with the calm and rather mundane shoegaze genre. So color me surprised when I heard there was an album with all these compilations of songs. The autotune actually works in favor to make the dreamy flavor, and the title is … Continue reading bothneco — choco-mint flavor

Invisible Wings – Angela Zhang
I first saw this in a funny Tik tok, with a much more happy upbeat. The slower ballad is less catchy, but seems to have more meaning in it. Not bad overall. (B)
Slash – Mind Your Manners
with very solid rock and rolling its way to a powerful chorus, you better Mind Your Manners around me if you want to carelessly criticize this song... (A)
Constellations – Jade LeMac
The song isn't too bad, especially with the strong visualization with imagination. The drawn out vocals are a bit double edged with unable to create as much emotion, especially since "this feeling is amazing" is in the middle of a trance-like feeling. Tom Cardy – Why am I Anxious?
Funny, funky, Tom delivers a short but intriguing hit that is very relatable. (A)
Nerina Pallot – Human
It's quite simple, and uses the old-and-told chord progression, but I appreciate the way she sings "weeee are not our sorrows, weee are not our scars." A nicely sung find, even if not as unique as her jazz hit "heart is a lonely hunter". (B)
Koko – The Last Bullet
A reasonably strong metal song, even if slightly repetitive is freshened by the end. The remarkable 300-to-1 like to dislike ratio is unlike anything I have seen ever since Denirse Danse. I tried looking up what the song means, but the translation is obfuscated and the song's meaning is extremely tricky to derive. The beginning … Continue reading Koko – The Last Bullet
Super Eurobeat – Deja Vu
A pretty catchy even if somewhat cheesy hit, Deja Vu is nevertheless a decently strong song, despite losing a "random song contest" between my songs I hosted once. (B-)
Ed Sheeran – Shivers
It's not powerful enough to give me shivers, however, the four chord progression twist is done well, and Ed delivers a decent solid pop song. (B)
