As you may or may not know, Ancora is the winner of a random shuffle I did on Rate Your Music, however, this was arbitrarily decided by a random decision, as it tied with two other songs. Let's do a bit more comparison, since my music list is mostly stabilized. Ancora VS Detective Detective (DD) … Continue reading Ancora’s Three Way Battle

Kanaria – King
The Indian influences and the strong beat make this song very good in potential, but the melody's slightly weak and it's too short to make a truly lasting impact. Is this truly King? Who knows... I do like the innuendos though, they are quite unique. (Grade: C+)
きさらぎ [Shigaragi Station] – x0o0x_
Let's continue the blank song reviews. This one is surprisingly happy sounding considering it's about the creepy pasta around the train station. The meaning is hard to grasp, but it's fun enough. (Unknown rating.)
x0o0x_ – Unknown (12/25/2022)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM9_r1RkUYU&ab_channel=%E2%80%8C I barely managed to find the artist name, though the song title is still a mystery, as the entire thing is blanked. Seems this channel's been around a few years, this almost Christmasy song seems weird and the visuals are quite creepy. So mysterious! (Unknown Grade).
Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms
Ah yes, the holiday season. The song's one of the more sufferable ones. It has a somewhat nice swing. I didn't realize it was near 1960's, but now that you listen to it, it makes sense. (Grade: 77/100)
Call on Me – SG Lewis & Tove Lo
I have no idea how this song is made for kids, especially with the line that may raise eyebrows, "sweat drip down your naked chest", but okay. I thought RYM would treat the song as a somewhat normal synth hit, since we've seen this plenty of times. The vocal dynamic range has issues since it's … Continue reading Call on Me – SG Lewis & Tove Lo
dodie – Hot Mess
Much better than the title would imply, the song is slightly weak compared to big hitters on my list, especially Papermoon or even Lapis Lazuli, however, the climactic "let me let go" has a nice feeling to it. Good potential. (Grade: 79/100)
Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet · kessoku band
I don't know if this is the band giving it their all actual talents, or just producing a relatively standard J rock song. Either way, the title is pretty unique, even if the melody's been heard many many times before. Not too shabby. (Rating: 76/100)
Overthink – Fan Ka
I am surprised that Spotify miraculously picked the ending theme of Link Click for me. The beginning is great to show the cliffhanger ending and the unknown atmosphere of the show overall. The rap isn't really my style to listen to regularly, unfortunately. Rating: 70/100
Avril Lavigne – Love it When You Hate Me
Avril trudges along with another fine song, nothing too special, ironic title indeed. Slightly better than average. 71/100 ish.
