Forgotten Words (忘れじの言の葉) /DAZBEE

I’m surprised how the composer is hidden through most the song’s covers, and how different their other soundtracks are. So, shout out to Grimm Notes game, and the writers Taketeru Sunamori, Mirai Kodai Gakudan. Now, Forgotten Words has a really cool fantasy feeling, and a lot of comments say they feel a strange nostalgia as if they heard the song before. The verses are a good build up even if somewhat quiet and down-low. The chorus is where it really shines, just moving back and forth with a really nice feeling. It’s kind of a more dramatic version of KOKIA’s Fukurou or Golden Tea and Silver Fox.

Truly, it makes me feel I’m — Searching for quests, roaming the land
Before long, they will be sung about
and become thousands, even millions of melodies
Even though their fate is to be lost, to be stolen away, to disappear someday,
they are the very things we cannot forget —
stories
.

97/100.

I have submitted this song to a music judging contest online, the judge reviewed it like so: I’m gonna be honest…I don’t know what this is meant to be a cover of. Either way, this song isn’t bad by any means, but it honestly didn’t really do much for me at all. The instrumentals are quite pretty and there’s some very proficient singing going on, but nothing really moved me about it. It’s an alright song, but it just didn’t grip me unfortunately. RATING: 4/10 SORRY YOU DIED
