Mashup of every TheFatRat song ever (Beyond Gaia’s Horizon)

While every Fat Rat song had its slight unique feel, BGH’s mash up mixes it up a little bit and muddles things. However, there are certain interesting transitions, such as the gunshot of Jackpot used as a crux. The first time is followed by “Suddenly, you’re nowhere to be found; Looking for a way to work it out”, which is quite nice. There is also the slow transition with “But one by one, in secrets, planted greed”. I also appreciated that the seeming strongest part of the song was “The Storm”, which featured the Na’vi language (see my review of The Storm for more information). I’m not 100% convinced on using Close to the Sun as a hook, as they only fulfill half of the message to “sing a song full of hope, full of pain”. Nevertheless, a solid guilty pleasure, even if speeding up Monody (“Summer in the Hills”) is a bit counter intuitive to the message of the original song. (B+)
