Confident – Demi Lovato

I can see why I added this: it is relatively catchy and the message isn’t bad. However, the chorus is arguably repeated far too many times, and even the few unique verses are not especially deep:

“It’s time for me to take it
I’m the boss right now
Not gonna fake it
Not when you go down
‘Cause this is my game
And you better come to play

I used to hold my freak back
Now I’m letting go
I make my own choice
Bitch, I run this show
So leave the lights on
No, you can’t make me behave”

I don’t see any particularly ingenious rhymes or unique stuff in here. The other verse,

“It’s time to get the chains out
Is your tongue tied up?
‘Cause this is my ground
And I’m dangerous
And you can get out
But it’s all about me tonight”

“you can get out” is a bit confusing, and the rest is just a bit of fluff.

Overall, 60/100. It might be good to listen to once in a while, but the question “What’s wrong with being confident” being drilled into your head isn’t precisely as wonderful as it would seem.
