Ah yes, one of the only three rap songs on my list. This song is cool due to its nice rhythm/beat, along with the chorus, adding up 10%, 20%, 15%, 5%, 50%, all the way to 100% reason to remember the name. Even the verses are cool, creating a background story: "he doesn't want his … Continue reading Remember the Name – Fort Minor

For the Love of a Daughter – Demi Lovato
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VZhI5iafH0 Slow, but with copious amount of passion, Lovato works out good lyrics, hinting at ability in writing strong themes. "Oh father, please put the bottle down for a love of a daughter" alone constructs a story well enough to work on.
4/16/18: This week’s spotify
I decided to make the reveal of the song for each week in Spotify more suspenseful. Why not talk a little, increase the tension? Everything else is wham-bam in your face anyways. So this week's Spotify was thought-provoking. Apparently there are still a load of covers, including River Flows in You violin version, pokemon theme, … Continue reading 4/16/18: This week’s spotify
Benny – Little Game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNr3x1kVVEc A unique message about stereotypes between girls and boys, finally! Little Game delivers a chilling chorus with the "hush boy oh hush boy... hush girl oh hush girl". The song speaks of how society expects gender roles from each boy or girl, which is true. With unique chord progressions and a non-pervasive yet … Continue reading Benny – Little Game
Lindsey Stirling – Anti Gravity
Though by now Stirling has lost her novelty, I believe this song remains a solid choice due its decent beats and background. I might remove it later if I get bored of it (after all, it's just one of her ~70-80 songs), but Anti-Gravity is still good.
Katy Perry – I Kissed A Girl
It's pretty cool, and even though it's about kissing, the lyrics explicitly state the song's not about love. Even as one of her first song, Kissed A Girl is still a good reminder of how Perry arguably fell from a pop sensation to... whatever the heck Swish Swish can be considered to be.
Parov Stelar – Booty Swing
Its title is a bit on the nose, "booty swing", and it's unclear if you're gonna listen to another one of those rap songs where the girl or guy talks about how they have a big booty, but of course, Parov is no pervert. This song sticks to a nice jazzy style and swings on … Continue reading Parov Stelar – Booty Swing
Earth, Wind & Fire – Boogie Wonderland
Although its lyrics are sparse, EWF provides a nice contrast against all these cliche songs with a nice groove and disco-type theme that allows us to get into the groove of the boogie wonderland.
Wicked Game – Chris Isaak
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWDOrfGfSQ0 Uber cool, Wicked Game has a chill unlike all of pop, and unlike even the majority of songs. No, I don't wanna fall in love... with you, but you are still super cool, Chris Isaak! 100/100. This song has won an edition of the Shuffle Game. The other songs were: 2. Bust A Move … Continue reading Wicked Game – Chris Isaak
Lindsey Stirling – Something Wild ft. Andrew McMahon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtmCCNB8wqc Summary PROS: Good message, combination of voice and violin CONS: Sounds a little "generic", not that innovative I had my playlist made a little bit of pop, rock, and other craze many others song let me down, felt so wrong so I found another way Lindsey had a big heart the way she saw … Continue reading Lindsey Stirling – Something Wild ft.
