Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello – I Know What You Did Last Summer

March 2018 review: For a love song, this is not bad. The music video especially stresses that the two are in a relation where everything is at a stalemate. Honestly, it carries some formosity in it. Although I do have to admit if you’re a bit more persnickety this song is a bit shallow. Nevertheless, the song strongly conveys a sense of struggle, despite the girl’s betrayal, the boy still has hope, as in most deep relations. Good song.

April 2018 re-review (for whatever reason): Cool, sleezy, I Know What You Did Last Summer refers to love lyrics without being too cliche. Sadly, the lyrics are obvious enough that there’s not enough to talk about… Even so, rating 90

2024 re-review: Hmm… did I really rank this the same tier as the mighty PAPERMOON or even Selfie Face? It’s honestly kind of lame… it doesn’t feel there’s much special about this combo song. Sure, it’s got a catchy melody, but it’s still really bland overall. Final rating: 79/100
