Avril Lavigne – Things I’ll Never Say

I could have sworn I already reviewed this one… anyways, just like the old “Take a Hint”, this song uses innuendos to suggest a romantic scene while also fitting for the things that she will never say. Despite the four chord progression use, Avril diverts it with the good rhythm and the unique message. I especially like how she replaces the “go down on me” with “go down on one knee”, “blow you… away”, these two small lines are enough to make the love song a bit more “real”. Especially since I’m sure a lot of people fantasize both sexually and romantically, but are unlikely to say the sexual things in public often. Thus, these are the things she’ll never say.
